Youth Hangout Volunteer  Job Description and Expectations 

Purpose: To advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with weekly planning of youth hangouts and  general promotion of Royal Sisters Project Youth Hangout (ages 14-19) so as to support the organization’s mission and needs.  

Optional – Mission or purpose statement: Royal Sisters Project is dedicated to bringing a diverse group of women together to provide for all individuals who are in need and under-resourced delivered with trust, understanding and thoughtfulness without main focus being helping at risk youth and women empowerment .

Hours: Mondays 6:00pm-7:30 pm (other opportunities will be available)

*Major responsibilities: 

• Assist with plans, leading, and supervision of youth.

• Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for youth participants.

• Supervise Youth and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.

• Helps Maintain a schedule for youth participants.

• Organizes and leads various small and large group activities

• Ensures the cleanliness of the site.

• Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and weekly attendance.

• Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the  program.

• Records and tracks youth dietary restrictions/allergies and ensures that the meals/snacks are distributed to them.

• Mediates any youth disputes.

• Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the youth hangout program, including knowing the whereabouts of your charges at all times.
